HUMAIN, the AI company backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, announced on August 3 its first-ever investment in a Saudi company, backing Riyadh-based enterprise AI firm MOZN through HUMAIN Ventures and entering a partnership to co-build AI solutions for financial institutions and public sector organizations. MOZN, founded in 2017 by Mohammed AlHussein, serves more than 150 customers across financial services and the public sector with tools for financial crime prevention, knowledge intelligence, and governance, risk and compliance.
The partnership combines HUMAIN's locally operated AI stack, including its HUMAIN Fabric and HUMAIN ONE products and next-generation data centers, with MOZN's AI products, regulatory expertise, and Forward Deployed Engineering model, in which MOZN embeds engineers directly within client environments to design, deploy, and scale AI applications. Co-developed solutions will be made available through the HUMAIN ONE AI Agent Marketplace, and the first jointly developed products will be unveiled at LEAP Riyadh, with broader commercial availability planned for the second half of 2026.
"Our first investment in a Saudi company with MOZN strengthens our ability to deliver production-grade AI solutions for highly regulated environments," said HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin, describing the deal as one of the first strategic engagements under the company's newly launched Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector. The partnership arrives as 81% of financial services firms globally have adopted AI in at least one business function, according to the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, with McKinsey estimating generative AI could unlock $200-340 billion in annual value for the banking sector.
