Stable Diffusion
The open-weight image model family that runs on your own hardware
Visit website →About
Stable Diffusion is the open-weight image model family from Stability AI and the foundation of a large ecosystem of local tools, fine-tunes and community interfaces. You can run it on your own GPU, through Stability's API, or through dozens of third-party hosts, and the open licence is why so many niche generators exist at all.
The latest release lists improved typography among its gains, but the model card states that testing was conducted primarily in English, and Stability names no other language for rendered text. The one dated assessment of its Arabic output we found, from April 2026, described characters scrambled beyond recognition. Stability has published no new image model in 2026; its 2026 announcements cover audio, brand tooling and funding.
Pricing in October 2026: weights are free under a community licence for organisations under $1 million in annual revenue; Stability's API offers a free trial, with the Core plan at $50 a month.

Why we picked it
Stable Diffusion is the model most Gulf developers can actually fine-tune, which makes it the only realistic base for a home-grown Arabic text renderer. We list it to be plain that the stock model is English-tested and that any Arabic capability has to be built on top of it.
