About

Seedream is the text-to-image and image-editing model family from ByteDance's Seed research group, offered through ByteDance's cloud platform and through third-party inference services rather than as a consumer app of its own. It competes with Google's and OpenAI's image models on prompt following, editing and multilingual text. On Arabic it makes the most specific vendor statement we found in this category. The July 2026 model blog says the model adapts to the typographic rules of each language and correctly processes the right-to-left cursive script of Arabic, among more than ten supported languages, while admitting room for improvement in finer-grained text. A hosting partner's guide adds that a full paragraph of body copy still produces typos and that the writing direction should be stated in the prompt. We found no independent Arabic test and no price page. Pricing in October 2026: not documented on a single public page; access is through platform credits.

Why we picked it

Seedream is the only model in our guide whose maker wrote the words right-to-left and Arabic in the same sentence as a capability. That claim is untested by anyone independent, which is exactly why we list it: readers with a BytePlus or third-party account are the ones who can check.
