About

Pi pod is an open-source infrastructure tool that lets you run pi coding agent sessions in isolated sandboxes, called pods, on a server you control. Each pod is a self-contained environment with its own filesystem, network rules, and resource limits, so multiple agent sessions can work on the same codebase without interfering with each other.

The project grew from the pi agent community's need for tooling that the minimal pi harness does not include out of the box. Pi pod adds agent sandboxing, role-based session sharing, and surface automation on top of the pi harness you already use, while keeping the same simple and elegant feel that pi users expect.

The self-hosted edition is designed to be straightforward to run on your own hardware. A hosted service is coming soon for teams who prefer not to manage infrastructure. Everything stays on your server, giving you full ownership and privacy for your agentic engineering workflow.

Why we picked it

Pi pod solves the real problem of running multiple coding agents safely on the same server. Each session gets its own sandbox, so agents cannot step on each other. Open source, self-hosted, and built by the pi community for the pi community.
