Turn your X follows and Substack reads into a living knowledge base

About

Opyt turns the sources you already follow into a knowledge base that keeps growing. Point it at your X bookmarks, Substack subscriptions, GitHub repos, or arXiv papers, and it pulls in their full archives. It reads a topic through, writes its own follow-up questions, and keeps searching for new work that builds on what you've collected.

The local install is a plain MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any MCP-compatible client can read your store directly. No new app to open, no chat UI to learn. Your AI client does the reasoning on the subscription you already pay for.

Opyt is free and MIT-licensed. You pay only for the AI tools you use and any OpenRouter usage for the classification and embedding that indexes incoming material.

AI-assisted draft, human-reviewed before publishing — see how we choose & review tools.

Why we picked it

Every knowledge tool asks you to file things. Opyt asks what you already pay attention to and builds from that. The MCP-native design means it slots into whatever coding agent you already use, and the automatic topic growth is a genuinely new idea — your library gets better without you touching it.
