Memdex is a Chrome extension that captures a user's conversations across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini as a private, encrypted local memory. As the user types in a new chat, it surfaces relevant snippets from past sessions and lets them inject those with one click.
The idea is that an AI chat should not start from scratch each time; Memdex makes AI history searchable and reusable across providers without sending data anywhere. All memory is stored locally in the browser.
A free tier saves manual snapshots of the 10 most recent chats, and Pro adds auto-save and unlimited history. It is aimed at heavy AI users who want portable, private context across the assistants they use.
