About

GitHub Copilot is an AI coding assistant that suggests code as you type, answers questions in a chat panel and can carry out multi-step changes across a repository. It works inside popular editors and on GitHub itself. As of October 2026 the individual plans are Free (limited to 2,000 completions and 50 chat requests), Pro at $10 a month, Pro+ at $39 and Max at $100. Web billing is in US dollars. GitHub's documentation accepts a bank card or PayPal and states that prepaid credit and debit cards are not accepted, which matters to anyone planning to use a prepaid virtual card. There is a second route: the GitHub iPhone app sells Copilot as an in-app purchase, listed on Apple's Saudi App Store at SAR 39.99 a month for Pro.

Why we picked it

The default coding assistant for many developers, and one of the few tools in our payments guide that document PayPal as an option. Its explicit refusal of prepaid cards is exactly the detail a Saudi developer needs before trying, and the riyal-priced in-app route is a workable fallback.
