Emma

Emma is a nutrition assistant that reads food labels in any language and tells the user what is in a product. Pointing a camera at a label, it identifies hidden sugars, additives, potential toxins, and allergens, and gives a plain assessment of whether the item is a good choice.

Because it works from the label itself rather than a fixed product database, it functions anywhere, including with foreign or regional products a database would not cover.

It is aimed at people managing allergies, dietary restrictions, or general health who want to understand packaged food quickly while shopping, including when travelling or buying unfamiliar brands.
