Edgee is an agent gateway that sits between coding agents like Claude Code or Cursor and their LLM providers. Its newly-launched fallback feature automatically retries failed requests against the next available provider — transparently, without any code changes.
The gateway operates as a drop-in proxy: requests flow through Edgee, which handles three concerns separately — compression, routing, and observability. Fallback models slot into the routing layer and include automatic OSS model fallback for teams that prefer self-hosted backups.
