Anker unveiled the Eufy MindBase on Tuesday, a local AI hub that processes security camera footage using an on-device large language model developed in-house. The system is designed to eliminate cloud dependency for smart home security, keeping video analysis entirely local.
MindBase supports the Matter protocol, enabling cross-platform integration with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. The on-device LLM can understand natural language queries about camera footage and generate automation routines based on user descriptions.
The launch positions Anker against cloud-dependent competitors like Ring and Nest, which rely on subscription services for AI features. Privacy-conscious consumers get local processing; Anker gets a differentiation story in a crowded market.
